Heart Attacks can be a common first aid emergency and in this section, you will learn the signs and symptoms associated with heart attack, how to assist somebody you suspect is having a heart attack, and the best position for them to be in while you wait for the Emergency Services, including the use of aspirin.
This section begins with an introduction to CPR, followed by the correct procedures to administer CPR to Adults, Children, and Infants. You will learn how to hand over to another rescuer, how to carry out compressions only CPR. We look at seizures during cardiac arrest and how to deal with a drowning. as well as SADS, Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, which is caused by abnormalities in the heart rhythm. Finally, we look at ways to improve both your compressions and breaths.
